Remember, once a tissue is injured it almost always has a weakness that needs to be addressed from time to time. Depending on the length of time between when the area is damaged and when treatment is received, different amounts of scar tissue and adaptation will have set in. At Utah Sports and Wellness we use FSM (Frequency Specific Microcurrent), Graston, and specific biomechanical adjustments to treat the scar tissue, adhesions and adaptations that have set in. The possible next step is a muscle evaluation to determine which muscles have “shut down” in the damaged area as well as positional changes that have occurred due to certain adaptations. A technique called AMIT (Advanced Muscle Integration Technique) is then used to correct, or “turn on”, the muscles that were determined to be aberrant. Finally, home exercises can be used to help restore the area to its proper function and movement. No time is wasted on a treatment that is not delivering the required results. As soon as it is determined that a treatment is not yielding optimal results, changes are made to insure that continued progress is maintained at the speed expected based on the damage to the area.
